Nuditopia

Throughout the course of human history, the human body's natural form has remained relatively unchanged. However, our perception of it has undergone significant shifts. In Western societies, there has been a distressing surge in body dissatisfaction, with an increasing number of people feeling uncomfortable and discontent with their own bodies. Nuditopia is a fictional nudist retreat designed to elevate self-esteem and improve body image through a thoughtful spatial layout and a comprehensive program.

Inspiration.

The design drew inspiration from multiple sources, including research from the naturist movement FKK, Afrika Burn, a festival based on the principles of Burning Man, and spa culture. Additionally, my personal journey of discovering body positivity played a significant role in shaping the project's vision. The research phase involved collecting questionnaires to understand how people experienced nudity in public spaces and how these environments influenced their comfort with being naked. This process allowed for a more profound understanding of the intricate relationship between spaces and individual experiences with nudity.
